Based in Central Florida, Leslie C. Halpern is an award-winning freelance entertainment writer and author. She has published more than 2,000 articles, reviews, essays, and poems in various print and online publications including The Hollywood Reporter, Daily Variety, Markee Magazine, True Romance, Fitness Magazine, So London Magazine, Small Business Opportunities, and many others. She is the Romantic Films/Comedies Topic Editor and winner of three Suite 101 Editor's Choice Awards.
Her books include Passionate About Their Work (BearManor Media, 2010), which offers quotes and anecdotes from celebrities, artists, and experts about the creative process, Reel Romance. The Lovers' Guide to the 100 Best Date Movies (Taylor Trade Publishing, 2004), a guide to romantic comedies and dramas that appeal to both sexes, and Dreams on Film (McFarland & Company, 2003), an analysis of dream sequences in 125 movies.
Leslie also teaches classes and gives lectures on dreaming, movie dream sequences, romance, romantic movies, writing, and publishing.
